Receptacles can be wired by wrapping the wire around a screw or stabbing the wire in the back. It's Bold Electric's standard to wrap the screw. With the back stabbing method, the wires work themselves loose over time from constant heating and cooling of current flow through the wires. Once the wire becomes loose it causes arching which can melt the plug and cause a fire.
