order for pickup or delivery We are sisters, Lori and Leah, who recognized the need for the simplification of meal times during the craziest time of the day. Life is so jam packed and you need healthy meals with whole ingredients to serve your family quickly. We do the shopping, prepping and clean up, and you come to assemble the meals you’ve chosen in advance. We want to make this an outing; somewhere to relax, laugh, and end your night by packing your freezer with healthy, delicious meals.
The concept of meal assembly services has been around for more than a decade. Both Lori and Leah have spent time in other cities offering these services and found it incredibly helpful! The idea that you can take home assembled, family-sized meals ready to be cooked at your convenience is life-changing! Because everyone has those busy days when you barely have time to breathe, having a stash of healthy meals on hand is invaluable.
After I had my last baby 3 years ago, we saw a need for this in our area. Fast forward to August 2017 and here we are! Supper Studio is in the heart of Downtown Okotoks on Elizabeth Street. Lori and I (Leah) are always seen together, but we’ve never actually taken a sec to introduce ourselves as individuals! And we are SO different! So here’s me in a nutshell!
Things I love:
My husband, James, and our three perfect, pain-in-the-butt kids.
Pizza and chocolate.
Working with my (much older) sister.
Camping and dirt biking.
Working out with my girl @jaclyns107
Things I don’t like:
Pickles on hamburgers.
The smell of dried parsley.
Folding laundry.
Being in front of a camera or crowd.
Things you may not know about me:
I have an identical twin sister.
I grew up on a leaf cutter bee farm.
I am trained as a French/Spanish teacher.
Hardest thing I have gone through:
Becoming a widow at 25, and learning to be an only-parent. But God is good, and although I fell apart, I overcame.
Now tell me you don’t like pickles on your hamburgers too...!
Leah got to be in the spotlight the other day, so now it’s my turn!
Things I love:
Hot, hot weather. Like the desert, I could live in the desert.
Obviously, my husband. He’s one of those people that’s good at everything and I admire his passion.
Food. All food, but mostly real Mexican.
Definitely my 3 kids. They are tough, resilient and cheerful despite what life has thrown at them.
Things I don’t like:
Being tickled. I don’t laugh. I get violent.
People who take themselves too seriously. Laugh, it’s all Leah and I do everyday.
Things you may not know about me:
I joined a cheer team this year. I will go to competitions and (hopefully) not die.
Some hard things I have gone through:
I have had very sick daughters for many years. My middle was diagnosed with Leukaemia when she was 7. She is now cancer free and living life like she cheated death.
My oldest was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder that caused her body to shut down. She has struggled with depression, anxiety and suicide attempts. The last three years she has fought to take control back. It’s a long road but she will prevail.
Now, does anyone actually enjoy being tickled I don’t think that’s possible.
