GOSHINKAN JAPANESE JUJITSU Japanese Jujitsu is the parent martial art of many of today's most popular fighting styles such as, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Aikido, Kenpo and some systems of Karate to name a few. Japanese Jujitsu employs striking, kicking, joint locks, throws, takedowns, nerve-centre pressure point control, ground fighting and submissions.

Sensei Dargie has been involved with martial arts since he was a child in Ontario where he first studied Judo. Moving across the country to beautiful Alberta he continued his education in the Japanese martial arts where he won the Alberta Provincial Championship in Judo.
In 1991 Sensei Michael began training in Japanese Jujitsu directly under Shihan Chris Bissett, many years later taking over operations of Bissett Jiu-Jitsu Dens law enforcement dojo and Executive Protection Group.
In 2011 he was awarded his Yodan (4th Degree) black belt under Shihan K.D. Lintott Renshi of Goshinkan-Ryu JuJitsu and Can-Ryu Jiu-Jitsu.
Sensei Dargie is Shihan Lintott's highest ranked black belt in Goshinkan-Ryu JuJitsu, and the first GMA black belt to achieve Joden Menkyo, the full instructor's license in Goshinkan-Ryu JuJitsu.
Sensei Dargie has had the pain and privilege of training under Shihan Lintott, valued member of the Canadian law enforcement community and one of the best real-world practitioners of street-level jujitsu for self-defense in our time.
Sensei Dargie has enjoyed teaching and learning with members of the RCMP, Calgary Police Service Tactical Team, Drug Unit, and other constabulary; as well as members of the Canadian Forces, Calgary EMS, the Mount Royal University Criminology Department and many other top martial artists from around the world in various disciplines.
Michael brings a unique perspective to the martial arts thanks to a wide and varied background in adult education, entrepreneurialism as well as minor sport and volunteerism.
